“The Good Storage and Distribution Practices of Pharmaceuticals”

Starting form Jan 2025, The Certificate of The Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceuticals given by The Jordan Food & Drug Administration (JFDA) will become a mandatory requirement to all drug distributors.

This step aims to make sure all drug distributors in Jordan are highly qualified and up to the needed standards, to ensure the safety & efficacy of medications in the Jordanian market.

To highlight this in more details, and with the usual kind cooperation of The Jordan Food & Drug Administration (JFDA), we’ve conducted a workshop on the The Good Storage and Distribution Practices of Pharmaceuticals on the 15th of Dec 2024.

The workshop discussed all the needed details and requirements to get the GDP certificate, along with the inspection requirements on the warehouses and vehicles.

In addition, the workshop explained the requirements for importing & circulation of Narcotics, and the new JFDA measures for the dispensing of antibiotics to control & reduce the microbial resistance.

All the appreciation & gratitude for our colleagues at The Jordan Food & Drug Administration (JFDA) under the leadership of H/E Dr. Nizar Muheidat, for the continuous cooperation & support.

Special thanks to the amazing speakers Dr. Mais Al-Jboor, Dr. Yazan Al-khateeb, Dr. Jaber Jaber, Dr. Malak Al-Mahayra from The Drug Directorates at the JFDA.

The workshop was attended by experienced professionals from The Jordan Food & Drug Administration team, distinguished members from DOA, and representatives from various multinational & local pharmaceutical companies and distributors, all of whom contributed to the rich discussions and insights gained during the event.
